Stay Away from North Rift Politics - Duale Told

A section of Jubilee leaders from the Rift Vally region has warned Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale to keep off the area.

Led by Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, the leaders strictly cautioned Duale to stop meddling with politics of the vote-rich region.

Speaking on Friday at Burnt Forest area, they accused Duale of "insulting leaders from the region and purporting to be in a position to organise politics of the region.”

Accompanied by Kapseret legislator Oscar Sudi, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and Uasin Gishu County Assembly speaker Isaac Terer, Mandago maintained that North Rift leaders were capable of handling their own affairs without external interference.

On his part, Sudi blamed the Garissa Township MP of making statements that have been affecting the popularity of Jubilee in the country.

The politicians maintained that Duale should let them solve their own troubles such as dealing with rising cases of rebels opposed to Jubilee Party.

The North Rift region is Deputy President William Ruto's backyard with the ruling government enjoying massive support from the locals.
