Three people lost their lives in two incidents in Kajiado County after they were swept away by flash floods caused by a heavy downpour in the area.
A couple which was driving their personal car around Kisaju area, met their untimely death when their vehicle was washed away after several rivers in the area burst their banks.
Rescuers and area residents spent the better part of Saturday morning trying to trace their bodies to no avail.
In another incident, a Swedish tourist perished at Kandisi area in Ongata Rongai after drowning in floods with his body being recovered on Saturday.
The area has been receiving heavy rains in the past one week disrupting business and causing massive destruction of property.
Also on Wednesday, five people died after a tree fell on a matatu they were travelling in along Waiyaki Way near Kangemi estate in Nairobi.
According to witnesses, the tree had reportedly grown weak over time and the situation was worsened by heavy rains which pounded the City on the fateful day.
