President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday received the wrath of Kenyans after posting a photo while sharing a joke with his deputy William Ruto in Kisii County.
The President took to Facebook to share a photo capturing him and Ruto having a light moment during his recent tour of Kisii which ended on Wednesday.
Kenyatta captioned the photo: “Sharing a joke with my Deputy William during a stop on our Kisii visit”.
The picture seemed to have rubbed many the wrong way as most of those who commented on the image expressed displeasure that Kenyans were facing tough economic times yet the country's top leadership was busy having fun.
Others wondered whether the joke the President was sharing would help in reducing the high prices of commodities in the country.
On the other hand, there are those who decided to extend the joke further by commenting on the physical appearance of the two leaders.
Nonetheless, there were those who praised the Head of State and even affirmed that they were happy with his leadership and would gladly back his re-election in the August 8 General Election.
Uhuru and Ruto were on two-day tour of Kisii County where they commissioned several projects while campaigning for their re-election bid.
