Uhuru Kenyatta's Family Donates 2,000 Acres Of Land

President Uhuru Kenyatta's family has donated 2,000 acres of land to resettle squatters residing in Taita Taveta County. The announcement was made on Thursday by State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu.

Speaking to journalists at State House in Mombasa, Mr Esipisu said that the land was voluntarily given by the family and assured that squatters would receive title deeds in a few months to come.

The Spokesman made this announcement as the President finalized his long stay at the Coastal region, where he promised to resolve historical land injustices that have rocked the area.

During his stay at the Coast, President Kenyatta handed over 5,000 title deeds to residents and reiterated that he would 'deliver the land answer to the land question'.

Kenyatta further moved to solve the contentious Waitiki land tussle issuing 900 title deeds to squatters residing on the land.

The Head of State added that he would look into 21 other settlement areas that were being fought over. He also pledged to return to the region in order to commission more development projects.
