Uhuru Visits Daniel Moi at His Nairobi Home

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday visited former Head of State Daniel Moi sparking mixed reactions from social media users.

Kenyatta posted photos of the meeting stating that he had gone to Moi's Kabarnet Gardens home on a courtesy call.

“Paid a courtesy call on former President Daniel arap Moi at his Kabarnet Gardens residence in Nairobi,” Mr Kenyatta said.

Though he did not divulge on what they discussed during the visit, a section of Kenyans went ahead to come up with varied speculations regarding the “courtesy call”.

Here are the photos:

To some, the President went to see Moi just like a friend since the former Head of State had recently been ill.

Others thought that President Kenyatta visited Moi as a show of appreciation for having helped mould his political career to his current status.

@UKenyatta. Poor Uhuru. The more they insult&ridicule you, the more God will bless you. Remain humble&faithful to Him. He is all you need

@UKenyatta.Please Kenyans, Moi was in Hospital the other day. Visiting the Sick is a Corporal Work of Mercy and Uhuru is a staunch Catholic

However, some speculated that Kenyatta had sensed defeat in the August 8 General Election and had therefore gone to seek for advice from Moi on how to calm down the political heat.

A section criticised the Head of State accusing him of wasting time on pulling publicity stunts rather than tackling urgent issues affecting the country.
