VIDEO: Bishop Beaten After Stealing

A Kenyan Bishop will on Monday be arraigned in court for allegedly colluding with two worshippers of his church to steal a cow in Luanda, Vihiga County.

Bishop Benjamin Owino of Roho Neno St Maria Church and the members of his congregation were nabbed after the cow owner reported the animal was missing.

Philip Owino, narrated how his cow went missing on Saturday morning and after inquiring he was directed to the Bishop's House where he found it.

The clergyman identified his two allies who were members of his church, after a thorough beating by members of the public. The three were frog marched around Kaila village for residents to witness the bizarre incident.

The three suspects were reportedly planning to sell the cow before the public intervened.

Area Assistant Chief Gregory Odhiambo saved the suspects from the agitated mob that was baying for their blood. The Chief urged locals not to take the law into their hands.
