Kangemi residents were on Friday morning thrilled to host Pope Francis at St John the Worker Catholic Church, where he celebrated mass with selected faithfuls from different parts of the country.
The excitement almost turned tragic with the Holy Father almost falling off, after one of the excited worshipers tugged him.
In a video uploaded on Youtube by Capital Fm, the Pope was suddenly pulled as he greeted different people inside the church almost bringing him to the ground.
However, he lifted himself up with the aid of his assistants and went ahead to greet worshipers with a smile on his face.
The Pontiff has been regarded as a 'pope of the people' due to his humility and love for interaction, especially with those who are less privileged in the society.
