VIDEO: President Kenyatta Breaks Into Dance

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday caught many by surprise when he led a Mugiithi dance at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, where thousands of youth and leaders were gathering for an address by Pope Francis.

Clergy members and State Officials also joined the fanfare in high spirit, trailing behind the Head of State in song and dance.

The Master of Ceremony at the event called up Bishops who were seated waiting for the Pontiff to get into the stadium and dared them to a dance.

The Bishops, who were initially hesitant to the proposal, joined in an isikuti luhya dance after pressure from the audience.

President Kenyatta then surprised the crowd when he joined in followed by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.

The event came to a conclusion after Pope Francis issued a speech focusing on need to deal with radicalisation, poverty and corruption.

After the address the Holy Father Pontiff had a meeting with Bishops and later proceeded to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where he is set to take his flight to Uganda.
