The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced the appointment of four new directors after concluding a competitive recruitment process that began on July 29 this year.
In a press release issued by Board chair Abdi Mohamed on Friday, September 12, SHA announced the appointment of Diana Marion, Golda Larissa Akolo, Mohammed Alio Ibrahim, and Jonathan Liesen as new directors.
Marion is set to be in charge of Provider and Beneficiary Management, while Akolo will oversee Benefits and Claim Management. Marion is currently the Secretary General of the Kenya Medical Association (KMA).
Meanwhile, Ibrahim will head Corporate Services, while Liesen will be in charge of Funds and Finance Management.
While announcing the new directors, SHA revealed that they would play a key role in helping the Authority to achieve its goal of providing Kenyans with financial risk protection and ensuring they have access to quality healthcare.
“The Social Health Authority Board is pleased to announce the appointment of four new Directors following a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on 29th July 2025,” SHA stated.
“This team's expertise will be crucial in steering the Social Health Authority to achieve its mandate of providing financial risk protection for Kenyan residents and ensuring they have access to quality healthcare,” it added.
The four were appointed after the Board received over 400 applications, which subsequently let to the shortlisting of 38 candidates.
500 SHA Jobs
The announcement came after SHA announced 500 job vacancies across various departments. Some of the vacancies advertised by the authority require a minimum qualification of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Grade D.
The Authority invited Kenyans to apply for the positions before October 2, 2025, noting that the jobs were on a permanent and pensionable basis.
Other openings announced by SHA were across senior and principal officer levels. The largest number of vacancies was in county and Huduma Centre operations, with 47 Principal Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers, 183 Senior Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers, 99 Senior Registration and Compliance Officers, and 96 Senior Claims Management Officers.
Other opportunities include positions in finance, human resources, administration, legal, ICT, customer experience, planning, supply chain management, and internal audit.
