After the video of an alleged CORD supporter being beaten ruthlessly by anti-riot officers went viral on social media, another recording has emerged showing what happened afterwards.
In the new video, Boniface Manono was later helped to stand by onlookers after lying still while GSU officers descended on him with clubs and kicks.
Moments later, Manono is seen walking slowly along University Way heading towards Kenya Methodist University.
Mr Manono had earlier been reported to have succumbed to his injuries, only to be found by journalists sleeping in his house at Kibera. The young man was also dressed in the same clothes he was in, during the Monday demonstrations.
Other media reports indicated that the supposed CORD supporter was not part of the demos but had travelled to Nairobi for an interview.
The information of his false death was described by Jubilee supporters as a ploy by CORD to spark unnecessary tension in the country.
