A youth movement in Ghana dubbed 'ODM Wenchi Ghana', has announced that they are planning to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Opposition leader Raila Odinga if he is elected the President of Kenya in the much awaited August 8 Election.
The group's spokesperson Evans Jessy divulged that they had been impressed by Odinga's actions in Kenya, stating that he stood for democracy which should not be taken for granted.
"Raila has a united force, something quite similar with Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo's party that won the elections.
"We are happy to have Raila. He is important because he is an in-law of this land. Raila is not just a mere person. He is a royal professor," Mr Jessy affirmed.
Mr Jessy made the announcement on Tuesday at the mausoleum of former Ghanaian Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Kofi Abrea Busia in Wenchi Ghana, where Odinga was present and laid a wreath.
"What we believe in is that as he comes to this tomb, victory is his. That is what we believe in and that is what we praying for," Mr Jessy added.
The Group divulged that they would host the former Prime Minister for a dinner before he left the country for Kenya.
Mr Odinga departed for Accra, Ghana in the company of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Friday to attend the inauguration of President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo, which took place on Saturday.
Mr Odinga is expected back in the country by Tuesday evening to attend CORD's meeting scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Bomas of Kenya.
