A survey by Ipsos Synovate on Monday revealed that the Coast and Western regions are now supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta's performance.
According to the study, 52 percent of residents in the Western region, which is CORD leader Raila Odinga's stronghold, approve the President's work with only 37 percent of the population disapproving it.
At the same time, the Coast region, where Odinga equally enjoys massive support, had a whopping 66 percent of the locals supporting Kenyatta's performance. Only 29 percent were displeased with the Head of State.
Central region stood at 88 percent in terms of its support for the President, while Rift Valley followed in closely at 71 percent approval. Eastern region stood at 68 percent, North Eastern 58 percent, Nairobi 57 and Nyanza 30 percent.
The report disclosed that 57 percent of the overall Kenyan population supported Mr Kenyatta's performance as opposed to the 35 percent who disapproved him. 8 percent did not have an opinion on the same.
41 percent of those who supported President Kenyatta's performance mentioned that infrastructure projects carried out by the Jubilee Government was their main reason for the approval while 14 percent pinpointed Education.
7 percent highlighted that the improved economy made them nod to Kenyatta's performance, another 7 percent supported the President because of combating corruption while 5 percent cited health care as their main reason for the support.
Of those who disapproved Kenyatta's performance, 46 percent stated it was because of ignoring and abetting corruption, while 19 percent said it was because of the deteriorating economy.
8 percent of the Kenyan population indicated that they were against the President because of the rampant strikes in the country.
