A woman killed her husband in Embu County for allegedly spending family money on alcohol.
Drama ensued in Embu town at the bar-turned-scene-of-murder, at around 11 pm Friday night, when the said woman followed the victim into the bar and called him outside so they could ‘talk’.
The two started quarreling with the woman-Winnie Gitonga, accusing her husband- Eric Gitonga of using money that she had earned on drinking sprees.
She alleged that her 22-year-old husband spent the money having fun with other women while she and their child suffered at home.
The fight turned ugly when Winnie allegedly stabbed her husband three times on the back, killing him.
She fled the scene after committing the heinous crime, Citizen News reports.
The body was Embu Level Five Hospital mortuary.
Police have launched a man hunt for the suspect who has since gone missing.
