How Notorious Couple Steals Laptops From Students

A man and a woman were charged in court on Monday for skillfully stealing laptops from gullible university students, after they were caught in action by police last week at Globe Roundabout, Nairobi.

Felix Ng'ang'a and Purity Ndichu were trailed for three hours after a victim of their scam reported them for posing as directors of international companies who were recruiting employees.

Firstly, the suspects claimed to offer data entry jobs that required certain softwares to be installed in their computers, before embarking on their "new jobs".

The students were then told to buy empty DVD's and make copies of their identity cards and as the students made rounds, the conmen made away with their laptops.

The police and the media acted a on a tip off from a former victim who was aware of their trickery and set up a trap to nab the suspects.

After the sting operation, the police recovered two laptop bags and seized the vehicle used by the suspects during their missions.

The police who took the accused to Central Police Station, urged students who had been conned by Ng'ang'a and Ndichu to record statements for an indepth investigation to be launched.
