Tension as Beautiful Uhuru, Ruto Women Clash [PHOTOS]

Tension is brewing following a clash by two separate female groups campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy President William Ruto.

The two –  Warembo na UhuRuto and Warembo na Uhuru –  are said to be fighting for recognition with each group claiming to be the officially recognised one and tasked with the role of spearheading Kenyatta's re-election.

According to members of Warembo na UhuRuto, the rival group, which doesn't factor DP Ruto in its name, was a hub for a possible division.

“The group Warembo na Uhuru purporting to support the President has a malicious agenda of bringing division between him and the Deputy President. They could have joined one indispensable outfit, UhuRuto. They are haters of the Deputy President and are planning to sabotage his 2022 agenda,” stated Naomi Jelagat, one of the members.

“There is no Uhuru without Ruto or Ruto without Uhuru. A group purporting to support Uhuru but doesn't support Ruto serves to bring division among jubilee supporters,” stated another.

The UhuRuto group was formed in September as the new Jubilee Party was being launched while the Uhuru faction is set to be unveiled on Thursday.

The new outfit has however allayed fears of any mischief claiming that its formation is meant to promote popularity of the Jubilee party.

Its patron Benson Mureria stated that the two factions were entirely separate but promised to merge in future.

The Jubilee Party has been running spirited campaigns to popularise itself in preparation for the 2017 General Election with such groups helping in spreading its agenda across the country.
