The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga, received unexpected guests at his Capitol Hill offices on Thursday.
The delegation from Lavington Adventist Church wanted to invoke a blessing over the Opposition leader ahead of the General Election. Unfortunately, they did not get the opportunity as he was away officiating over the Health Investment Conference in Kisii County.
The senior clergymen, however, left a strong message for the former Prime Minister outlined in suggestive Bible scriptures.
They encouraged Mr Odinga that the Almighty would dethrone one leader and enthrone another.
"God...brings one down and lifts another...," the Psalm 75:7 verse read in part.
Another verse alluded to the current discord within the National Super Alliance (NASA), giving sage advice on how to resolve the matter.
"...let all of you agree...and that there be no divisions among you..." the 1 Corinthians 1:10 scripture persuaded.
The NASA co-principal registered his appreciation to the pastors and elders for the kind gesture in a Facebook post by one of his aides.
