Ababu Namwamba Vows to Beat ODM in Busia County in August Elections

Labour Party of Kenya (LPK) leader Ababu Namwamba has vowed to teach the Orange Democratic Movement a lesson by ensuring his party captures all the seats in Busia County during the August polls.

Speaking in Funyula during a political rally, Mr Namwamba stated that his party had a strong team that would be ready to trounce the ODM dominance in the region indicating that the party should forget winning key seats in Budalang'i, Funyula and Busia as a whole.

"We have already made a decision and we are not turning back. ODM should forget winning key seats in Budalang'i, Funyula and Busia as a county. This time round we are ready and we want to teach ODM a lesson by capturing all the seats we gave them," he stated.

Mr Namwamba further spoke of the frustrations he underwent as the ODM Secretary General vowing to prove ODM wrong by ensuring it won't win any key seat in the County.

"For the last 10 years the people of Budalang'i have strongly been in ODM but some few individuals, who were not happy with our presence, frustrated us," he indicated.

The MP further sympathised with Funyula MP Paul Otuoma, claiming that he was rigged out during the Orange party primaries controversially won by incumbent Sospeter Ojaamong.

He further accused Governor Ojaamong of failing to deliver his promises and dividing the County along tribal lines.
