6 MP and 12 MCA Aspirants From Langata Oppose Appointment of Hassan Joho to Oversee Nominations in Nairobi

Six ODM Party aspiring MPs and 12 Member of County Assembly (MCA) aspirants from Langata Constituency have opposed the appointment of Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho to oversee the party's primaries in Nairobi.

The leaders cited that  Mr Joho was on record trying to impose his relative Ahmed Ibrahim alias PAPA as the ODM torch bearer in Langata and that he would not be trusted to conduct a free and free process.

They also lamented that Joho, who is ODM deputy party leader, was supporting a man with a "dark past" to be the ODM candidate in the constituency.

The Aspirants further stated it was an irresponsible decision for the party to appoint the governor as the man to oversee the nominations process and urged the party leader, Raila Odinga, to rescind the appointment of Joho and replace him with a neutral person who will not be partisan.
