DP Ruto's Hustler Tag Has Ruined Kenyans' Mentality - Wetangula Explains

National Super Alliance (NASA) co-Principal Moses Wetangula on Monday hit out at deputy President William Ruto over his use of the 'hustler' tag which he claims has ruined Kenyans' mentality.

According to the Bungoma Senator, dubbing himself as a hustler shows that leadership in the country is not taken seriously and described it as a character of "celebrating mediocrity"
at the expense of talent.

"A person stands up as the leader in the country and says I am a hustler, that is what we have in our country, leadership is not taken seriously," he stated.

Mr Wetangula, who is also the Senate minority leader, noted that the title is not encouraging to the young Kenyans blaming it on the rampant need for people to make quick money rather than earn genuine money.

"That is why people in the country are not talking about earning money, everyone wants to make money, nobody wants to earn money," Mr Wetangula asserted.

He also attributed this to the bungled elections which he stated had been encouraged by the crooked leadership.

"Stealing election in this country is becoming a norm rather than accident and exception," he noted.

The Senate Majority leader further divulged that the country is sinking in debts claiming that the controller of budget is currently controlling ghost money.

He called upon politicians and academicians to stand and speak up on the issues affecting the country.
