Githeriman, Martin Kamotho Admitted to Rehabilitation Center

President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly ordered the admission of Martin Kamotho to a rehabilitation center in Kiambu county over unmanaged alcohol addiction. 

Speaking to a local daily, Githeriman divulged that he has been admitted at Mama Care Center in Kiambaa constituency after he requested President Kenyatta's assistance. 

He further disclosed that he had tried to reach out to the Head of State during his title issuance at Jacaranda Grounds but he unable to, adding that he used Uhuru's security aide to convey the message.

"His (Uhuru) security couldn't allow me to reach where he was but his driver and one of his aides know me well.

"I asked the president that I wanted to go to a rehab since alcoholic drinks had ruined my life and I wanted to change the situation," Kamotho told the Star. 

Additionally, he revealed that he was admitted to the facility with the help of Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba.

Posting on her Facebook page, Wamuchoma posed that he rushed to the help of Githeriman following orders of the President.

"We traced Githeri man at his rural home in Kiambururu village in Githunguri constituency but found him in Kayole as referred by his family members.

"We have admitted him and he is a happy man. I am sure he will heal since his request indicates he is willing to be treated," Ms Wamuchomba stated.

The lawmaker applauded Kenyatta for recognising the need to rehabilitate drunkards in the country.

During the December 12, 2017, Jamhuri Day Celebrations, President Kenyatta awarded him the prestigious Head of State Commendation (HSC) honors.
