Comedian Chipukeezy Appointed Director at NACADA

Comedian Vincent Mwasia popularly referred to as Chipukeezy has been appointed as the Director of National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA).

In a gazettement notice issued by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i on Wednesday, Chipukeezy will serve in the position for three years.

"In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Act, the Cabinet Secretary, Interior and Co-ordination of National Government appoints Vincent Mwasia Mutua and George Ogalo to be members of the NACA, for a period of three years, with effect from the 6th June, 2018,"

Former NACADA Director and Current Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua took to social media to congratulate the Chipukeezy Show host.

"Congratulations Chipukizi on your appointment as a Director at Nacada....wish u well my brother," he wrote on Instagram.

The celebrated comedian has made major moves in the Kenyan industry becoming a household name.

He had his breakthrough in 2013 when he featured on the Churchill Show.

Chipukeezy later landed a job at Radio Africa where he hosted the morning show on Kiss100 FM with media personality Caroline Mutoko.

He has gone on to host stand up comedy shows as well as MCeeing jobs.

He currently hosts the Chipukeezy show which airs on EbruTV.
