Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary general Francis Atwoli on Monday vowed to present evidence to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji against the NHIF and NSSF.
The vocal trade unionist called on the DPP to crackdown on corruption and extend investigations to the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
Atwoli claimed they have evidence that workers money was being looted at the two bodies.
The COTU boss further added that he and fellow NSSF trustee Jackline Mugo, on several occasions, blew the whistle on looting at the two institutions, however, they were ignored.

Atwoli urged DPP Haji and Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss George Kinoti to probe the two agencies and commended President Uhuru Kenyatta for the efforts to end impunity.
He noted that Uhuru's directive for the demolition of buildings on riparian land would help restore the dignity of Nairobi.
In June, the COTU boss had threatened to move to court to oppose a decision to kick them out of the NHIF board of trustees adding that they will mobilise workers not to make contributions to the two State agencies if they were not represented at the boards.
Appearing before the National Assembly Health committee, Atwoli vehemently opposed the amendment to the NHIF Act, terming it “illegal”.
“If they state Cotu will not be included on that board, we will move to court because you cannot go to somewhere there is a traditional brew and start enjoying with those old men if you were not invited,” Atwoli stated.

“I assure you we will source for a good attorney and pull out of NHIF. So long as we are not in those boards, they will not see a single cent from us. I’m sure about that,” he added.
