Nairobi businessman Praful Kumar was on Monday arrested by the EACC officers for offering a bribe of Ksh1 Million to Nairobi Governor Michael Mbuvi Sonko.
Confirming the arrest, EACC South region boss George Ojowi stated that Kumar offered Sonko the bribe to facilitate approval of his hotel - The Grand Hotel in Gigiri which is under construction.
The County Government of Nairobi had stopped the construction of the hotel on 16th August 2018.
The businessman will be arraigned in court on Wednesday to answer corruption charges.
