Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo had an interview on Wednesday night with Jeff Koinange where he opened up on matters politics and his take on the current economic state.
Kabogo subtly criticized the current state of Kiambu adding that the county would be very different as to what it is now under Governor Ferdinand Waititu's watch.
"Kiambu would be very different. If you give it back to me tomorrow it would take me six years to get it back where I left it," the former County boss stated.
He further urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich for failing to control the economic crisis and making poor decisions on government spending.
The former Kiambu County governor criticized the government for purchasing Integrity Centre stating that the building sits on wetland and was not worth the Ksh1.5 billion it was bought at.
The NLC, in a notice in the Kenya Gazette dated September 14, stated that the building housing the ethics and anti-corruption agency will be taken over by the government after compulsory acquisition from Tegus Ltd.
Integrity Centre was valued at Ksh400 million four years ago, meaning that the taxpayers handed a Ksh1.1 billion profit to the owners of the firm, who remain unknown.
Speaking on Jubilee 2017 nominations, Kabogo stated that he did not feel like President Kenyatta let him down for not supporting his gubernatorial bid but shifted the blam to DP Willam Ruto.
Kabogo maintained that he was pushed out because for being viewed as a political threat, someone who couldn't be pushed around and neither was he a sycophant.
"I didn't need support; I had done my work. I had done what I did for the people of Kiambu, I thought they would have wanted us to continue to do what we were doing but there were other interests," he asserted.
