Kalonzo Musyoka's Father Dies

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka's father has passed on while undergoing treatment in Nairobi.

According to the family, Peter Musyoka Mairu, aged 94, died on Saturday night at Nairobi Hospital.

Various leaders such Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula sent their condolences to the bereaved family.

"It is with deep shock and sadness that I have learnt the passing of the late Musyoka Mairu, Father to former Vice President, H .E Kalonzo Musyoka.

"The late will be remembered for his iconic advise and relentless efforts on his quest to have a just society,” stated Wetangula.

The Nasa co-principal had lost his mother in 2014.

Mr Mairu, played a huge role in the 2013 General Elections, in what was seen as his endorsement for Kitui governor aspirant Ngumbau Mulwa and Mwingi North parliamentary aspirant Musyimi Nzengu at that time.

He had advised the Mwingi North constituents to choose and vote for credible leaders.

"Your role is overt, just open you ears. Listen carefully to all the aspirants and identify those with an agenda to help you out," remarked Mr Mairu.
