Raila Odinga Junior has reached out to Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Musyoka after his grandfather passed on.
Peter Musyoka Mairu, 94, father to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, died while undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital on Saturday night, October 28.
Raila Junior visited their family home in Karen Nairobi on Thursday, November 1 to offer his condolences.
He accompanied his father, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, who visited the family.
Several high profile figures have reached out to offer their condolences to the Nasa co-principle.
“Pole sana (sorry) my brother Kalonzo Musyoka following the passing on of your Father Mzee Peter Musyoka Mairu. We share in your grief. May God grant comfort to your family at this trying moment.” wrote Mr. Odinga on twitter.

Among the others who reached out included Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi with former President Daniel Arap Moi asking for a meeting with the wiper leader.
Mr. Mairu had played a great role in the 2013 general elections endorsing Kitui Governor aspirant Ngumbau Mulwa and Mwingi North parliamentary aspirant Musyimi Nzengu.
