Ahmednasir Abdullahi Reveals President Uhuru Kenyatta's Personal Vendetta Against Justice Mohamed Warsame

Famous Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has revealed that there could be a personal vendetta between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Justice Mohamed Warsame.

Ahmednasir stated that the president had willfully refused to gazette the Court of Appeal Judge as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

He explained that the Uhuru’s reservations to appoint him since April 2018, pointed to more than meets the eye between him and Warsame.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) now wants Kenyatta to officially appoint him as commissioner to the powerful organ.

The JSC members spoke during the swearing-in of four new commissioners on Wednesday.

Warsame had been nominated for a second term at the JSC by the court of appeal judges.

However, his nomination failed to materialize as the three arms of government flexed muscles in the battle to control the JSC.

The appointment stalled following a battle of whether he should first be vetted by parliament before an official appointment.

Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Anne Amadi wrote in a letter to the clerk of the National Assembly that Justice Warsame “will not subject himself to the process of approval by Parliament before he can be formally appointed to serve in the commission”.

Amadi explained that Parliament's quest to make the judge appear for vetting was unlawful, unconstitutional, a violation of the express provisions of Section 15(2) of the Judicial Service Act 2011 and undermines the independence of the Judiciary.
