DCI Officers Fire Shots to Help Handcuffed Colleagues Escape EACC Trap

There was drama after DCI officers fired several rounds of ammunition to aid their colleagues to escape from a trap laid by EACC officers at Kabete.

The anti-corruption agency disclosed that they had laid a trap operation for the officers identified as Julius Oguma and Charles Macharia at Kabete Police Station.

The two are alleged to have demanded a Ksh1 Million Bribe from a foreigner.

"The two suspects Mr. Julius Oguma Service No. 79715 and PC Charles Macharia Service No. 95924 are DCI officers were arrested by EACC officers and handcuffed," EACC stated.

It was at this point that other officers from Kabete Police Station came out firing several rounds of ammunition as warning shots to facilitate the escape of their colleagues. 

According to reports, the officers escaped with Kshs100,000 of the trap money while handcuffed.

EACC confirmed that Kabate DCIO was assisting their officers to find the suspects.
