Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi pushes for Population Growth

Popular businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has advised Kenyans to make more babies to enhance Kenya’s population growth.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, he rubbished family planning as 'fake' claiming the 42 million population in Kenya was not enough.

In a surprising statement, Wanjigi advised Kenyans that if they could not get babies within the family unit, to make babies elsewhere.

“Let us make babies in the family unit. If unfortunately, we don't succeed, we do it elsewhere but these children… I am sorry to say... are our power today and tomorrow,” he stated.

Wanjigi also argued that contrary to what was being advocated for in family planning campaigns, Kenya had enough resources to accommodate more numbers.

“Greatness is in number and greatness is in these children. Get married, make babies, we want many children in this nation,” he added.

He went further to give an example of China citing that the country became a superpower owing to its huge population.

In Africa, Wanjigi gave examples of Ethiopia and Nigeria as nations with great economic growth due to their numbers.

Wanjigi comments surprised many netizens who wanted to know why the tycoon was urging Kenyans to make more babies while he only had two.

Others expressed that Kenya had too many pressing issues like insecurity and poverty that needed to be tackled before population increase.
