President Uhuru Kenyatta's Christmas Message to Kenyans

In a message delivered on Monday, December 24, 2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta urged Kenyans to do good this Christmas season by remembering the less fortunate.

This, the president said, was in line with the spirit of Christmas to do good to all and to live every day in service of others.

When we commit our heart and our hands to making the world around us a better place for all, we are fulfilling the promise that began in that humble Manger in Bethlehem all those Millennia ago,” He recommended.

Uhuru also Urged Kenyans to take the festive season to reflect on the blessings and favor of the outgoing year, while at the same time preparing for a better 2019.

As we celebrate this holiday, it is also an opportunity to reflect on the blessings and favor of the year gone by, while preparing for an even more prosperous year ahead,” he continued.

In his speech, Uhuru expounded on the meaning of Christmas, arguing that it was a time to render service to others as Jesus did.

Christmas is a welcome reminder that we are all children of a Loving God, who wants us to follow His ways always. Our Savior calls on all of us to do good to all and to live every day in service of others,” he pointed out.

The true gifts of Christmas are not material but rather the opportunity to share the festive season with those whom we love and cherish,” President Uhuru continued.

The head of state also emphasized the need for Kenyans to have fun responsibly during this season.

Earlier on, Uhuru made a surprise appearance when he boarded the SGR to Mombasa.
