The family of Cabinet Secretary without portfolio Raphael Tuju has announced the death of his brother Kefa Oduor Tuju.
According to a death and funeral announcement printed on Tuesday's Daily Nation, the deceased succumbed to a brave battle with brain cancer on December 19.
The late Kefa left behind his wife Loyce Christine Wangui and two sons Jonathan and Mathew.
His body is expected to arrive at JKIA from Canada on Wednesday, January 2.
The first prayer service will be held on the same day at 3:00 p.m. at Tuju’s residence.
The family and friends have also organised a church service on Thursday, January 3 at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
His body will then be transferred from Nairobi to Asembo, Siaya County on Friday.
The final funeral and burial service will be held on Saturday at Ralingo Village in Asembo and will commence at 10:00 a.m.
The family has thanked everyone who supported Kefa, throughout his journey with cancer, which he faced with courage and faith.
They decided to maintain a Go Fund Me campaign that was started in early 2018 as a means to continue assisting the family with the funeral and related travel expenses.
