Moses Kuria Criticizes Uhuru's Big 4 Agenda

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria rubbed some people the wrong way after chiding the Big 4 Agenda that is meant to consolidate President Uhuru Kenyatta’s legacy.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the controversial legislator stated that Kenyans would need to work extremely hard to ensure effective implementation of the projects outlined therein.

Kuria explained that the government needs to build 500,000 houses within the 42 months left of President Kenyatta’s last term.

This translates to 397 houses per day, including weekends, and 16 houses per hour.

The vocal politician declared that it was an impossible feat stating that Kenya should have built 192 new houses by the time he leaves Nairobi for Embu on Saturday noon.

On January 10, Kuria apologized to President Kenyatta over remarks that he made during the new year’s eve celebrations in Thika.

He had accused the head of state of neglecting the Mt. Kenya region which helped him secure a win in the last general election.

Kuria explained that the president was launching projects in areas the voted for the opposition while disregarding his backyard.

He later withdrew his remarks, adding that he supports the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.

I offer my unmatched apology to the President whom I have worked with and respect so much. I have no problem with him launching projects in any part of this country,” Kuria stated.

However, Kenyans are now questioning his intentions after his latest jibe at the Jubilee administration.
