Day Jaramogi's Clothes Were Stolen in Kisumu

Kenya's first Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, once spat fire after losing his clothes in Kisumu, Nation reports.

According to the publication, Odinga's attires were stolen by unknown people when he was visiting the town.

Upon learning that his clothes were missing, Odinga asked his personal assistant Wilson Ndolo Ayah to probe the matter.

Odinga also ordered Ayah to hand over the culprits to the police for further investigations.

Ayah did as he had been instructed. His inquiries led to the arrest of two people; Raphael Owino Obaro and Ochieng Oburu.

Instead of turning in the suspects, Ayah passed them to the KANU Youth Wing Leader Ocholo Achola.

Achola reportedly detained Obaro and Oburu for questioning.

It's alleged that paraffin was poured over both suspects and a match was lit on Oburu who sustained burns and had to be hospitalised.

Achola, Ayah and six others were arrested after investigations into the incident found them culpable.

Some of those who were arrested were sentenced for seven years and 18 strokes.
