Uhuru Introduces 5 Ladies Planning to Become Ms President [VIDEO]

Five ladies, who have set their eyes on the prestigious title of 'Ms President', have captured the attention of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

During the official launch of Bidco Industrial Park in Ruiru, Kiambu County, on Thursday, a seemingly impressed President Kenyatta introduced the ladies to the crowd.

"Today morning I met beautiful ladies who I hear are competing to become the first female president of Kenya.

"They came to ask me questions and I answered those that I could and told them because they want to become president, they should follow me to see the scope of work I do," Uhuru stated.

"I would like them to introduce themselves and by the way, only God knows who will become the next president," the head of state added.

Nereah Amondi Oketch praised Uhuru for the work he had done, adding that she was ready to take over the mantle when he retires.

Irene Mayaka emphasised on the importance of fighting corruption, insisting that Kenya was now ripe to have a female head of state.

When the first, Ann Waruguru spoke, she praised President Kenyatta for the manufacturing pillar in his Big 4 Agenda.

Betty Odera and Umulkheir Mohamed are also among the top contenders of the coveted title.

The five young women beat 67 other contestants on the Ms President Show on KTN, whose winner will be unveiled on July 31, 2019.

The show premiered in January with an aim of empowering women and girls to be leaders in peacebuilding and prevent the spread of violent extremism and radicalisation.
