MC Jessy Opens Up About Sexual Harassment on Churchill Show

On Day Break, a morning show that airs on Citizen TV, Churchill Show comedian, MC Jessy, opened up about being sexually harassed by fans.

The comedian narrated that during his shows, he opts to greet his audience while walking to the stage, but some fans touch him inappropriately.

"For me it has happened because on my way to the stage, I usually go to the audience to say hi, some people pinch me and most of them are ladies. They can also touch you inappropriately.

"Sometimes when you turn, you will realise it's a lady, men don't. When they meet you, they hug you, if you don't, they think you are proud," he narrated.

The comedian also cited that security is highly enhanced at the back stage for fears that some of the fans might follow them.

MC Jessy went ahead and stated that it was difficult for comedians to file cases revolving around sexual harassment.

"My content mostly revolves around women, I like entertaining them when I make my jokes. Sometimes I know that I want to target the ladies.

"Now, if I start doing all that because of law, then I will loose a part of my audience," he noted.

He further urged other comedians to have morals and not tolerate indecent acts by their fans.

"You have to know where to draw the line. You need to understand that these people are your fans and nothing beyond that," he stated.
