The United States government has called on Kenyan students, both undergraduate and graduate learners, to register for the EducationUSA University Fair.

The EducationUSA University Fair is a platform that allows students from a particular country to seek education opportunities from accredited postsecondary institutions within the US.

It seeks to promote higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about the full range of opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the US.

In a brief notice on Friday, August 29, the US Embassy in Nairobi urged Kenyan students to register for the forum to meet representatives from over 30 US universities.

During the registration process, a learner will be required to provide their first and last name, gender, date of birth, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.

They will also provide details of their home town, and the level of education they are seeking in the US, whether it is an Associate Degree, a Bachelor's Degree, a Master's Degree or a PhD.

"The purpose of this fair is to help students learn more about higher education opportunities in the United States, both those with and those without scholarship funding," the US Embassy stated.

Adding that, "Attendees are encouraged to come with curiosity, give others the chance to speak and ask questions, and are expected to treat admissions officials, EducationUSA staff and fellow prospective students respectfully."

According to the embassy, the forum scheduled for September 13 would be held at the Serena Hotel from 9 am to 3 pm.
