Ida Odinga Fallout with Fidel's Wife Gets New Twist After Court Order

The heated Multi-million property war between AU Envoy Raila Odinga's wife Ida Odinga and her daughter in law is set to continue after a court order that was issued on Wednesday, October 16.

High Court judges Justice Aggrey Muchelule ordered a DNA test on twins allegedly sired by Odinga's deceased son Fidel Odinga.

The test was to be conducted to ascertain the paternity of the minors before proceeding with the succession case.

This comes shortly after Ida moved to court to block Fidel's widow Lwam Bekele, who had applied for a grant of representation to allow her to run the estate, after the death of her husband on January 4, 2015. Fidel had not left a will behind.

Ida and her daughter Winnie Odinga had allegedly moved to court to challenge the grant arguing that it unjustifiably locked out other interested parties to Fidel's estate.

She had revealed that her son had sired twins with another woman, and they(children) had not been listed as the defendants.

Fidel's widow however rubbished Ida's claims terming them as false further asserting that her son was the only heir to her late husband’s properties.

She further argued that the said twins were born six months after Fidel's death and their birth certificates had no indication of the father of the said minors.

Fidel's multi-million estate comprises of his Karen home, three parcels of land, two Range Rovers, a Nissan Sunny and a Mercedes Benz, and seven bank accounts.
