Shadowy Facebook Woman That Raila Was Set To Entrust His Legacy With

At the height of the 2017 general election campaigns, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party was reportedly considering to enlist the services of an anonymous woman based solely on her Facebook posts.

A Monday, January 6, report by the Daily Nation has, however, cast doubt on the woman, identified as Dorcas Sarkozy, including a time she attempted to rip off the publication after enlisting as a writer.

The publication indicated that Sarkozy often made posts that most National Super Alliance (Nasa) supporters agreed with at the time and were so articulate and seemed to be well thought out.

However, it was difficult to establish the identity of the woman who never published pictures of her face on her account, with the images that could come close to revealing her identity only showing sections of her face that indicated her "light-skinned" complexion.

She was so articulate in her posting that all the stories had a headline, prose that made sense and book screenshots that proved she had extensively researched her stories.

It was her brilliance that had reportedly compelled senior leaders of ODM who were considering incorporating her in the communications team arguing that she would argue for Raila articulately.

The publication further noted that in July 2018, the shady personality reached out to Daily Nation with an offer where she wanted to respond to an article by one of their writers.

After receiving the green light, the resultant article was weirdly e-mailed by one Washington Osiro, a resident of the US and not from Sarkozy.

When her Facebook account was pulled down on Tuesday, December 31 she told the Daily Nation that the account had been suspended by Facebook to confirm her identification details.

It was, however, explained that a suspended account would still be visible to her connections on the social media platforms. However, it was reported that Dorcas Sarkozy's account was not visible to any users from that date.

An earlier report by the publication had also reportedly uncovered Sarkozy as a con woman after one of the readers responded to the article titled "Who is Dorcas Sarkozy?”, lawyer Stephen Ogolla revealed that the woman had conned him Ksh500,000.

In her defence, Sarkozy, however, denied conning anyone.

“If someone wired money through my account, then a bank statement should reflect that. If you did it through M-Pesa, it should reflect that. So, has anyone given you that (evidence) so far?” she posed.
