National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has officially relocated from its Hill Park Building Headquarters to Ngong Road.
In a statement shared on Sunday, June 27, the authority indicated that it would begin operations at the new office on the morning of Monday, June 28.
The new headquarters will be at the 316 Upper Hill Chambers, along 2nd Ngong Avenue, Nairobi.
The offices will be situated on the Ground Floor, 8th and 9th Floor of the 316 Upper Hill Chambers.
"NTSA Relocates Headquarters. Effective Monday, 28th June, 2021, NTSA Headquarters will be relocated from Hill Park Building to the 316 Upper Hill Chambers, along 2nd Ngong Avenue, Nairobi," read the statement in part.
316 Upper Hill Chambers is a 104-metre, 26-storey tower roughly 2km from Nairobi's Central Business District.
The building, which is owned by Upper Hill Chambers Ltd, comprises three basement parking floors, a ground floor and a mezzanine.
It has five upper parking floors as well as 15 Grade A office floors.
In an earlier notice, NTSA had intended to begin operations at the new office on June 1, 2021, but it was not clear what caused the delay.
The authority had also announced that the motor vehicle and motorcycle plates would be issued at the Likoni Road Motor Vehicle Inspection Centre, Industrial Area, Nairobi.
NTSA is the body authorised to regulate the road transport sector in Kenya.
Its services include certifying driving instructors, licensing driving schools, issues driving licenses, PSV licenses, car inspections and also applications for speed governors.
