Two pupils at Chepkoilel Primary School in Trans Nzoia County disgraced themselves and shocked teachers after they reported to school drunk after lunch break.

The duo was nabbed on Friday, September 3, as they staggered in school, behaving in a manner likely to suggest they had partaken alcohol.

Just before they were busted, teachers at the institution noticed that the Std 7 and Std 8 pupils were disorderly.

The school administration immediately reported the matter to Kinyoro area chief Rose Chebet, who immediately swung into action.

"We received information from the school that some of the pupils were drunk and disorderly,” reads the police report.

“The students led us to where they had bought alcohol and we made arrests," the police further narrated.

In the operation, the students identified the seller. The woman was later arrested and taken to Sango police station. She will be arraigned in court on Monday and charged for selling alcohol to minors.

The police also recovered chang’aa and bhang from the woman’s premises.
