Leaders allied to Deputy President, William Ruto, have responded to a statement by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on his willingness to work with the United Democratic (UDA) party ahead of the 2022 General Election.

While addressing a political rally in Nakuru County on Sunday, November 7, the legislators led by Kiharu Member of Parliament and Ruto confidant, Ndindi Nyoro, stated that the former Vice President was welcome to work with the DP, further offering the legislator a position in the UDA government.

The legislators also urged the Wiper party leader to quit the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) and join the Hustler Movement.

"Our former vice president has stated that his phone is open and he is asking the DP to look for him. We want to tell Kalonzo that we love him."

"Kalonzo can make a very good speaker of the National Assembly for the hustler nation," Nyoro indicated.

The Kiharu legislator went ahead to woo the former VP, stating that he would be free from intimidation if he left his OKA counterparts.

Nyoro was making reference to the sentiments of OKA leaders who have previously lamented that they were being coerced to shelve their political ambitions in favour of the ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

"Come so that we can make a party that does not have any threats. You have seen how we are welcoming to everybody, Waiguru came and she was given a seat. Waruguru also came and she was offered a seat,” the legislator expressed.

On her part, Nyandarua Woman Representative, Faith Gitau, stated that the request with Kalonzo was welcome adding that they would be stronger if Kalonzo joined forces with the DP.

“We have seen Kalonzo declare that Kalonzo is ready to work with Ruto and we want to tell him that he is welcome home,” she stated.

During his address at the same function, Ruto refrained from making any statements directly to the Wiper party leader. However, he stated that he was open to the idea of partnering with like-minded leaders.

“We are ready to partner with those who believe in our agenda. If they are ready, let them come and work with us. Our priority is in investing in projects that will create at least four million jobs for the youth,” Ruto expressed.

In response to the offer, a section of Wiper leaders have urged Kalonzo not to make a haste decision and to wait on other offers from other presidential candidates.

"We must give Kalonzo enough time to interact with the other like-minded leaders. I want to assure Kalonzo that Ukambani is behind him,"

"We have now given him permission to go to central, western, and coast so that he can join the others so that he can lead in 2022,” Kilome MP, Thaddeus Nzambia asserted.
