Police Shoot Dead Four Robbers in Loresho

The upscale estate of Loresho in Nairobi witnessed an unusual amount of drama today morning after four suspected thugs were gunned down in the area.

The daring thieves had attempted to break into a house in the estate when the robbery was thwarted by police officers.

An attempt by the criminals to escape turned tragic after gunfire ensued.

The four died on the spot.

A pistol with four rounds of ammunition was found on the criminals.

The wave of criminal activities in the city has residents worried about their security with many being of the opinion that robbers are getting more brazen by the day.

They now want more police officers hired to provide security within the city.

A similar incident on Friday in Westlands left many shocked at the daring move by four robbers to steal a car in broad daylight.

Police came upon the robbers who were in the middle of breaking into a car outside Southern Sun Hotel along Parklands Road

Two managed to escape but two others met their death after they were shot dead.

On the same day, four robbers who had been stealing from motorists and getting away on motorbikes were also shot dead along the Thika Superhighway.

They were shot by police officers as they argued on how to divide the loot.
