Four suspected robbers were shot dead by police along Nairobi's Thika Superhighway.
The gangsters, said to be running their operations using a motorbike, had allegedly attacked and robbed several motorists on the highway.
They had no idea that the Wednesday night raid would be their last.
After several robberies, the four could not agree on how to divide the loot.
A fight ensued which attracted the attention of boda boda operators on the highway.
The boda boda riders attacked the police who cornered the suspects near Homeland Restaurant, despite efforts to get away.
Police recovered two pistols and several rounds of ammunition from the scene.
