Crocodile Kills Chief's Son

A 25-year-old man  in Tana River County was attacked and killed by a crocodile along River Tana.

The victim identified as Abdirahman Sheria, who is a son of the area Chief, had taken his livestock to drink water at the river when the incident happened.

River Tana is the main source of water that the locals in the area depend on, for their daily use and also for their livestock.

The Chief asked residents to take safety precautions due to the frequent attacks along the river.

The body of the deceased is yet to be recovered.

Residents have urged the Kenya Wildlife Society to educate them on the safety measures they should take while using the crocodile infested river.
