Aldrine Kibet

Aldrine Kibet is an 18-year-old footballer whose career took off last year.

This year, the young footballer’s career reached a significant milestone in June when he was selected to represent Kenya’s U23 team at the COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa. Kenya won two matches in the tournament.

In January 2024, Kibet made his debut for Kenya's national U20 squad. His outstanding performance at the tournament in Malawi showcased his talent on the international stage.

Kibet shined in the Kenya School Sports Arena (KSSA) tournament in August 2023 where he represented his school, St. Anthony’s Kitale.

During the competition, he consistently found the back of the net and left fans on the edge of their seats throughout as St Anthony went on to win the competition.

Following the incredible performances, Kibet’s stars aligned and subsequently joined the Nastic Soccer Academy in Tarragona, Spain.

This move puts him in good stead to train in a professional environment where he can easily be scouted by a top-flight European club.

Kibet, who plays as an attacking midfielder is blessed with an abundance of pace, raw technical ability and a remarkable reading of the game which allows him to arrive in the box in the nick of time justifying his high goal output.

He has also maintained the same consistency when representing Junior Stars, the national under 18’s football team.

During English side Everton's visit to Kenya, the footballer was among the few budding talents chosen to display their talents before foreign scouts in Nakuru.

He was also named the best player in the 2018 Wanyama Royal Cup, a tournament hosted by former Harambee Stars Captain and Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama.
