Charlene Ruto

Charlene Ruto is the third-born daughter of President William Ruto.

She is a fierce advocate for equitable opportunities for the youth and continues to champion sustainable measures to mitigate the effects of climate change. 

Charlene is the founder and patron of the Smart Mechanized Agriculture & Climate Action for Humanity and Sustainability (SMACHS) Foundation - a non-profit that empowers the youth to lead the fight against emerging problems in society. 

Through the foundation, she spearheads programs centred on three thematic areas including; youth action, youth and society and climate action. 

Charlene came into the limelight during the 2022 election campaigns when she got heavily involved in her father's presidential bid. 

Aside from her official duties, Charlene is an avid farmer, inspiring youth to play a more active role in the journey towards attaining food security.

Charlene graduated from Daystar University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. 

She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Crans-Montana in Switzerland.
