Jackline Juma

Jackline Juma is a Kenyan football coach and one of the few female trailblazers in the sporting world, which is largely viewed as a male-dominated territory.

Juma made history in August this year when she shattered the glass ceiling by becoming the first female coach to lead an FKF Premier League team, Talanta FC.

Her appointment as the head coach of FC Talanta marked a significant achievement, not just for her, but for the entire football community in Kenya.

Jackline’s journey to this historic role is a testament to her dedication and expertise in the sport. As a CAF A licensed coach, she has gained extensive experience with several local clubs.

Some of the clubs where she has had successive stints include Acakoro, Gor Mahia Queens, and the U15 girls' national team.

She is also a CAF Elite coach educator, garnering international recognition for her work in football. Her rise to the top reflects the hard work and commitment she has demonstrated throughout her career.

Her appointment to the role was more than just a milestone; it’s a powerful statement that, in football, skill, strategy, and leadership are what truly matter.

The 38-year-old Jackline grew up in a family of footballers, including her father and brothers, with whom she played as a child and who introduced her to a career that ultimately led to the youth national team.
