Joyce Atieno Osogo alias Bensuda is the Woman Representative for Homa Bay County.
She is one of the leading female Members of Parliament in the 13th Parliament and has led various initiatives to empower her constituents through education programmes.
In a ranking done by Timely Kenya, she was among the top three female legislators of the year.
She was recognised for her Mama County Back to School Programme which targets girls who dropped out of school.
Bensuda has a PhD in Project Planning and Management with a speciality in project monitoring and evaluation from the University of Nairobi.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master's in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi.
