Dr. Mercy Korir is a Health and Science journalist at the Standard Media Group. Korir has a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery, and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies, from the University of Nairobi.
Mercy has been at the forefront of telling engaging stories around the coronavirus pandemic. Her reporting saw her tell the story of the pandemic from inside the hospitals while highlighting the plight of health workers and patients in the face of the pandemic.
Apart from the screens, she has often written engaging articles in the Standard Newspaper and other platforms, besides hosting a weekly TV health feature on KTN.
She was awarded during the Madaraka Day celebrations in June, 2020 for her outstanding service to the Nation in helping steer our country through the Coronavirus Pandemic.
