Oduor Kevin Otieno

Kevin Otieno Oduor is among the young movers and shakers in the world of medicine.

His journey was inspired by his brother, who has harrowing cases of epilepsy. Kevin became the primary caregiver of his brother after the death of his parents.

Today, he is a strong advocate for people living with Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

Recently, the young medical professional won the Young Innovators Award Kenya’s Quality Healthcare Awards.

One of the projects he embarked on was the IPAB project, funded by NCD Alliance Kenya. He was also part of the Transfat Elimination project implemented by the International Institute For Legislative Affairs (IILA).

Among the things he has been fighting for include an increased priority, attention, policies and budget allocation for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Kenya.

His recognition was a testament to the importance of innovative policy initiatives in improving health outcomes for Kenyans.

Thanks to his noble cause, Oduor has been able to meet key stakeholders in the health sector including Health PS Mary Muthoni.
